With more and more of us hitting the shops in the build up to Christmas, it only feels right to warn people about the dangers of becoming a victim of car theft.
This is why we have put together a few top tips which could help keep your car safe this Christmas:
- Try to park in a well-lit up area or secure car park
- Never leave anything in view (this includes loose change)
- Don't throw your bags on the front seat and then return to complete more shopping
- Keep anything valuable out of sight- this can include clothing or footwear
- Always check and double check your car is locked once you have parked up whether that be at the shops or at home (it's easy to forget with lots on your mind)
- When you arrive home, please again don't leave your presents in the car, even your boot - it's just not worth the risk

Finance may be available from other providers outside of our panel, and you should consider your options before entering into an agreement, we are not able to provide impartial recommendation.
